Explore the groundbreaking work of Ana Mendieta, whose Silueta Series used body, earth, and ritual to investigate presence, absence, and memory. In this workshop, we will examine Mendieta’s artistic practice alongside other artists who work with ritual and the body, exploring how everyday materials such as soil, leaves, water, and shadow can become powerful tools for creative expression.

Participants will be guided through their own at-home creative rituals, transforming simple materials into personal, expressive artworks inspired by Mendieta’s approach to land and embodiment. No previous art experience is required. Bring curiosity, paper, and your favorite drawing or crafting tools.

What to Bring: Paper, pen or pencil, and any natural materials you can access, such as leaves, soil, flowers, stones, or water.
